How this works

SwitchUp is a community of businesses looking to employ young New Zealanders into important jobs. SwitchUp is not your typical job board, and you won’t need a CV or cover letter! Simply follow the instructions below to start your journey to Switching Up with us!

  • Click on the location that suits you.

    On the map of NZ on the SwitchUp homepage, click on the location that suits you. This will highlight the jobs available in your area.

  • Select a job

    Select the job that appeals to you and watch the video to find out more about the job.

  • Profile

    Create a SwitchUp profile by clicking on the “Create Profile” button.

  • Profile reviewed

    Your profile will be reviewed by one of our SwitchUp team and we’ll email you to advise the next steps and expected timeframes.

  • Phone call

    If we think you might be good to go, we’ll give you a phone call to fill you in on what SwitchUp opportunities might be live, and gather any info we might need.

  • Invite to open day

    If you progress past the phone screen stage, you will be invited to attend one of our Open Days. At this point we’ll also begin some pre-employment checks just to make sure what you’ve told us about yourself is legit!

  • The offer

    If you pass your pre-employment checks, you will be verbally offered a role and if you accept it, a written contract will be sent out to you.
